Dualsense touchpad issues
I have this weird issue with steam settings. After going to the new big picture mode and went to the controller test menu. After going through the controller setup sequence, the touchpad clicks stopped working completely. Anything i can do to fix it? Any way to reset controller settings to default?
P.S. the touch portion of the touchpad still works, the issue is with the clicks on the different sides of the thing

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot your Dualsense touchpad issues with Steam:

Reset your controller: Turn off your controller and press the reset button on the back with a paperclip. This will reset your controller and might fix any connectivity or software issues.

Update your controller firmware: Make sure your controller is up to date with the latest firmware. You can do this by connecting your controller to your PC via USB and using the official DualSense software from Sony to update it.

Verify game compatibility: Make sure that the game you are playing is fully compatible with the Dualsense controller. Some older games might not support all of the features of the Dualsense, which could cause issues with the touchpad.

Check Steam settings: Make sure that your Steam settings are configured correctly. Go to Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings and make sure that your Dualsense is selected as the preferred controller.

Reinstall Steam: If none of the above solutions work, you might want to try reinstalling Steam. This could fix any software issues that are preventing your controller from working properly.

Hopefully, one of these solutions will help you resolve your touchpad issues with the Dualsense controller in Steam.

But won't reinstalling steam delete all of the installed games?

So is the test screen responding to touchpad click (it won't display things as separate sides)?

There's a fairly new option Reset Device Inputs. You'll find it at the same place where you did the setup.

If that doesn't sort it, you can try clearing things manually:
