So been browsing through backgrounds, avatars...etc for my profile and found one I liked. I went to my inventory to put it on my profile and it says "You've made too many requests recently. Please wait and try your request again late" What is this? I even tried restarting steam.

But I never had this problem before and have used my VPN everyday since Nov.

And it seems the IPs the VPN uses are now being rate limited.

Kinda makes sense, given the use pattern of VPNs around these places...

Odd. I mean can a VPN used to somehow do something illegal on Steam? I wouldn't think such a thing is possible. I guess they are just being safe. I still can't access some new items I bought though. This does make me wonder though, if I use a VPN, I wonder if it can mess up online games and they would think a VPN is some sort of cheating.

Seems VPNs are a double sided sword.

As long as you don't use it while making purchases or to get around games regional restrictions, you are fine.
