How to reset controller settings on steam

Does anyone know how to reset controller settings completely through steam? I was messing with remote play through big picture a while back and it messed up my xbox elite controller inputs. I have mostly fixed, but still have issues with the a button. In games where you have to hold "A", it does not register as being held, and I seem to lose forward momentum when jumping and holding forward. I believe holding the "A" button is for some reason stopping all other inputs from the controller. If anyone knows how to fix this or completely reset, that would be great!

Open Steam and go to the "Steam" menu in the top-left corner.

Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click on the "Controller" tab.

Click on the "General Controller Settings" button.

Click on the "Reset to Default Settings" button.

This will reset all controller settings in Steam back to their default values. Note that this will also remove any custom keybindings or configurations you may have set up, so be sure to back those up if you want to keep them.

If you are still experiencing issues with your Xbox Elite controller after resetting the controller settings, you may want to try recalibrating the controller in Windows. To do this, go to the Windows search bar and type "Calibrate" and select "Calibrate the controller for Windows". Then follow the prompts to recalibrate the controller. This should help to fix any issues with the controller's inputs.
