Download almost completing, but stops around 99% with [CORRUPT DOWNLOAD] (FIXED)

I've been trying to download a game for several days now but each time it gets to 99% and the download corrupts. Here is a list of common fixes I've found and tried, but none of them worked:

• Rename current steamapps folder to steamapps_old, try redownloading (steam will create a new steamapps folder) - didn't work
  
• Settings > Downloads > Clear downloads cache - didn't work
  
• Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders > Repair Folder - didn't work
  
• Settings > Downloads > Download region (changed to next nearest server) - didn't work
  
• Settings > Downloads > Download region (changed to next nearest outside of my country) - didn't work
  
• Reinstall Steam completely - didn't work
  
• Tried installing the game on an entirely different PC - didn't work
  
• Settings > Downloads > Download region (changed to far away international server) - didn't work
  
• Tried installing on brand new SSD - didn't work
  
• Tried buying the game from Steam instead of using the third party's key - didn't work

What DID work was the following:

• Boot into safemode with networking (may or may not be necessary)
  
• Launch Steam and download the game (May need to use big picture mode if the regular Steam UI is screwed up due to lack of loaded graphics drivers)
  
• When the download becomes corrupt, reboot PC
  
• Start Steam and continue the download

Hope this helps someone, as I've been troubleshooting for several days.

Its good that you got it fixed, last time I had this happen I had to exit steam and manually copy the game files from the downloading folder to the common folder and then modify the acf file to indicate a successful download (I'm not at my PC so i cant look up exactly what I changed but if you look at an other game you have installed you should be able to use that as a guide).

Then I restarted steam and verified the installed game and that found a few corrupted files and repaired them without issue.

all you must do is to repair your hard disk that the game is istalled in it work every time

Don't you mean stop, corrupt things normaly give a error msg, and you dont say that.

This look like a classic Antivirus app blocking DL, make steam exceptions rule and check Anti virus app qurrantine folder why a file is there.

ps.
your concluesion is wrong, DL has nothing to do with Graphic.

It's not a play video doing DL at ateam. or show you anything other then steam DL manager. thats not a graphic issue at all.

And be happy i and other bother with a reply then you think you have solve it.
