Steam Repeatedly is unable to connect to servers after router reset.
So for some odd reason after purchasing a new laptop Steam has had trouble staying connected to servers.

I’m able to access other things like Netflix, YouTube, and other sites, but the steam launcher just will not stay able to communicate with steam servers after a short time.

I’ve tried multiple avenues.
1. Restarting both my laptop and my router.
This works temporarily but after about ten minutes or so if I try to log into an online game or exit steam and come back steam is unable to “communicate with steam servers”.
2. I’ve tried adding the “-TCP” fix and running as administrator. That doesn’t help until I do step 1.
3. I’ve tried deleting download cache and any config settings within the steam file location.
4. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling steam. Problem still persists. This is frustrating because I’ll set games to download and once they finish downloading I can’t log into them any more until I do step 1. But again after 10 minutes or so it loses its ability to communicate with servers.
5. Turning of Windows Firewall and making sure no antivirus software is keeping it from correctly running.
6. Resetting my entire laptop to factory default.
7. Updating network drivers.
8. Changing MAC address.

Still have no idea what to do. Been very frustrating these last two days.

did you have any other 3rd party programs outside of your anti virus program in conflict with Steam and Steam Games??????

people will tend to say that "all their programs they installed even those 3rd party programs don't have any problems with Steam and Steam Games".

but that isn't 10000000% correct at all.

there are common programs that conflict with Steam and Steam Games

there are uncommon programs that conflict with Steam and Steam Games

then there are unknown programs that conflict with Steam and Steam Games

the unknown programs are those that are recently released to perhaps help to improve your "computer performance"..........etc and those somehow conflict with Steam and Steam Games.

e.g Razer Cortex is known to cause problems with playing Steam Games like CS:GO

e.g razer cortex is meant to improve your computer performance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd party programs that helps to improve your computer performance especially for your computer settings, in-game settings.....etc

they somehow have access to the computer "kernel" first level

one word to describe.

a) intrusive

------------------------------------------------------------

you are not suppose to use 3rd party external programs to handle the games' in-game settings at all.

likewise, there isn't a need to have such programs to handle your Windows Settings too.

just having the Anti Virus program is more than enough.

Considering that this was a freshly reset PC and literally the only thing I downloaded was steam to keep testing to make sure I could fix this solution I highly doubt it is any other program. I also shut off all the built in windows firewall settings and programs while testing.

I have AMD and the Software Adrenaline is the closest thing I can think of to Razer Cortex in terms of that type of program. I'm not sure if that would do it but I can check.

....
So I uninstalled that and the problem is persisting.

The only thing I have been able to do is download and load into NordVPN (I kiss the feet of it's developers) and basically use a VPN to connect to steam. IDK it seems my internet provider may have a new block on steam that they didn't make known. I can't really change providers because I don't have access to that and can't change it. Not up to me. But the VPN Trick is working for now so I guess I'll just suffer slower download speeds for the time being. My ping is about +30-45 more than it normally is to so that's great but at this point I'm just gonna deal with it because I've been dealing with this problem for almost a week now and I'm just frustrated.

here is the closest answer to your problem

----------------------------------------------------------------

actually, the problem lies with your Internet Service Provider and not due to Steam and not due to Dota 2 servers.

i come across a thread years ago which is lying around somewhere on Steam Forum(s) and manage to learn that ISP internet connection don't DIRECTLY connect to Steam Servers and even Multiplayer Online Games at that time.

at first, there is only Point A and Point B

this is your home and ISP internet connection to Steam Servers and Multiplayer Online Games Servers which is Direct connection.

but

instead, it will go from Point A to Point B then to Point C,

Point A is your ISP and/or your Internet connection at home.

Point C is the Steam Servers and the Multiplayer Online Games servers on Steam.

Point B is that the internet connection travels to somewhere else in this World like EU or even Asia then connect to Steam Servers and Multiplayer Online Games Servers.

doesn't matter which Country you are from or from which Continent or from Which Region.

this can be done by ping your ip address to Steam through a trusted 3rd party like

Pingplotter program.

https://www.pingplotter.com/

----------------------------------------------

if it still isn't fixed yet, which is what i notice due to people complaining about Internet Connection down and no connection on Steam Platform for several days

then my explanation is the closest answer.

So how would I go about using this program? I’m looking through its site and the page descriptions are confusing to an average using like me and they don’t see to mention anything in the above thread about steam. I wouldn’t even be sure what to google.
