Help Laptop MSI GE60 2PE
Hello, I recently found this app(HWiNFO) online and found out that while i am gaming SCUM, my GPU temperature is at 92°C and my core load is at 99% which sounds bad. I know very little about this and found online that i should increase my van speed etc. I did that and my van speed is at circa 5500 rpm now.

While i'm not gaming my gpu temp is just 0°C temp... my laptop air is feeling warm but not hot while gaming. Is there anything i can do or is the only option bringing it to the store? and is the app actually good or is it giving fals information like my neutral temp on gpu is 0..

I also read somewhere that you can put some or all (idk) graphics on the cpu maybe this is an option?

I am just giving this information without actually knowing what this all means :S

CPU: Intel Core i7-4700HQ
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
Intel HD Graphics 4600
RAM: 8GB
4GB
Ventilator: 1 (CPU) 5,500 RPM

CPU: 72°C while gaming SCUM (30°C when idle)
GPU: 92°C while gaming SCUM (0°C when idle)
GPU: Core load while gaming SCUM 99.0% (0.0% when idle)

Even the little tips or help would be extremely appreciated!

I mean, its a laptop. Cooling is always a problem with those during intense games.
Those numbers look pretty normal for playing a high requirement game like SCUM with Unreal Engine 4.

CPU temps are actually fine, 72C under full load while playing is not unusual even for desktop systems.
The max temp before the 4700HQ starts to clock down for protection is 100C so you are not even close.

As for the GPU, while 92C is not ideal its also not THAT unusual for a laptop.
In a desktop build GPU often reach 80-85C under full load in demanding games.
And the 99% load for GPU is fine, that actually means its fully used.
The GTX 860m is not the strongest laptop GPU and fairly old at this point, its normal that it struggles in SCUM.

If the temperature gets too high your GPU will clock down on its own to protect itself.

I read online that it should burn up at 92C and 99% load!
Thank you very for all that information, it is very reassuring.

Put your graphic settings to the lowest and test. If the temps are in a more acceptable range, tweak the graphic settings until you are happy with the temps.

My settings are all on low or off, any time, any game :p

If there's one thing pseudo-experts like to fuss about it's hardware temperatures. There's definitely a camp who think if you're not running 20C below the normal operating range your hardware will melt (or at least you'll be shortening the "lifespan"). There's a camp who will brag about their idle temps and neglect to mention all the other details. And there's a camp that just loves to fear monger and ignore all relevant details. Lots of people are stuck on the optimal scenario or doom mentality and it's crazy making.

Reality is that laptop is like 9 years old, it's probably been running near those temps the whole time or at least several years. If you're worried, get a cooling pad, or look at tearing it apart and redoing all the thermal paste.

I mean sure no one is going to be thrilled or impressed at 92C, but that's not quite the same thing as there being a serious problem. And even then, hardware throttles when it gets too hot. If that becomes noticeable or a problem then you look at redoing some of the cooling, or you look at replacing your well used laptop.
Thank you very much for spending time to type this all out. I think i'm going for a cooling pad and open up my laptop and place it on the pad for more cooling
