My friend's account/PC is having the same issues on their PC yet my Steam account is working fine on my PC (we live together so use the same network).

Things we have tried:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Steam (including manually deleting old steam files and registry files)
- Reinstalling/updating wifi drivers
- resetting Windows network settings to factory defaults
- Checking Windows 10 for updates
- Reinstalling all .net and visual c++ versions
- Rebooting router
- Many reboots of PC

NOTHING HAS WORKED!!!

Same problem here. Logic stuck on PC and steam deck stuck at “loading user data”.

I’m dealing with the same problem. Website is working fine, but can't connect with the client.
Already tried:
- Change account (tried 3 different accounts)
- Change PC (2 different)
- Restart modem
- Reinstall Steam
- Change network (2 different)
- Force disconnect all devices

I'm out of ideas...

Are you guys using VPN, or proxy services? If yes ensure they're not the problem blocking the client from reaching server, or try another VPN/proxy services, or turn it off.

Are you guys using custom DNS? Ensure it not blocking things, or try another DNS services, or set it to default on OS.

Are you guys using custom firewall? If yes ensure not blocking Steam app from having internet connection, if also using 3rd party anti virus, or network app, ensure that not messing with client either.

Did you guys mess with host file on your OS blocking connections, or blocking ports, and such from modem/router? If you mess with host file, or messing with ports on your modem/router ensure not blocking important things.

Do you use router to then connect to modem? If yes try connecting directly to modem instead of using router, to ensure router not the issue. Check if there an update for modem, and router, normally ISP roll out your updates for modem, but router may need to check for yourself.

the weird part of the problem is that one account can login, but same pc same network ,another account can't login, just out of my mind ...........

1. I'm not using a VPN.
2. Already tried to change my DNS settings, from 1.1.1.1 to 8.8.8.8. Tried to put it in Windows settings and modem settings, with no results.
3. I'm using Kaspersky Plus, already tried to run the steam client after turned it off but still no difference.
4. I didn't touched the host file.
5. My modem is connected directly to the internet. The only configuration I made was set a static IP for my PC.

Weird, must be server issue then, not sure what to say, but could try doing long shot guess on this like password change, and see if results changes, if not then not sure what could be the problem why one account works, and other doesn't if both accounts are set to same country.

Try not setting a static IP for moment, do network clear then test, so run CMD as admin, do each one at a time, after first set restart PC, then do 2nd set then restart and test, best of luck.

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Same here. I can't login to my main account on 2 computers since yesterday (one PC gives login error 79 and another PC is always stuck on endless loading). But i can login to my other accounts with no problem. Flushconfig, reinstalling the Steam client doesn't work.

I don't have problem login in with my other Steam accounts, but they don't have the mobile app connected, only email codes. So i tried to temporary disconnect the phone app from my main account and it doesn't solve the login problem. Still can't access to my main Steam account.

same problem, no login to steam client works. Only login through browser page or phone app

I'm having login issues via the Steam client as well.
Moltavis Jan 19, 2023 @ 2:43am
Have the same problem since almost 24 hours.
Logs in fine on mobile/web, but on the PC client and deck no chance.
On deck I get “loading user data”, client a small black window with spinning Steam logo circle.
There is already a thread in discussions about the problem with a few pages already. I use 2 FA as well.

Hasn't worked for me since Tuesday.
Moltavis Jan 19, 2023 @ 3:06am
Some other guys in the „Steam Discussions“ thread about the problem wrote support tickets, but it seems support does not recognize we cannot access our games, because the log in actually works but just doesn’t transfer to the store/library. Also seems like a lot of guys with bigger libraries are affected.
