Scams and Fake Admin

First of all, this happens to me yesterday via Discord, i continue the conversation with this person to show you everything they try to tell you in order to scam you.

Sorry for my English, im Spanish.

1. I dont get scammed, I still have my acc
2. As soon as they told me this, i reach to a real steam help support via Email.
3. I start looking for other people histories and compared them to my situtation.
4. I continue this converstation to see until what point they try to do something.
5. No, i dont give them any personal or my acc information.
6. I know this is not new, but still its my 1st time they try to scam me on Steam.
7. This is only to show my experience in order for people compare my situtation for a future situation.

This is what happened , someone added me on steam to sell his CSGO keys and other items for a good price for. He promised to give me CSGO keys as well as other unusuals but he never did and he blocked me after I sent him 500$. Now i need to make sure if it was you who scammed me yesterday or someone really impersonating your profile to scam people.

Sadly i cant post any image here, but the "Steam admin" basically shows that you have a "Pending Ban" (There's not such thing as a pending ban) and other "bans" on my acc.

Threads like this exists in the hundreds. And you are an example on how well they work. You didn't read a single one.

Most don't even come to the forums until after the fact.

As said above, this forum is probably the one place, where people do not need to be informed about this. We get to see reports about scams and hijacking at around five per day. Your effort is appreciated, but the ones who need it most are the least likely to see it here in time.

Tell your friends about it, spread the info in your user groups, talk about it in chat channels. That's much more likely to help others.

Steam support do NOT communicate using Discord. If you bothered to use the search you would have found 1000's of thread telling you exactly that. I come here because i was in contact with a real Steam Help Support, and he told me to post it on Forums.

"Please report these users through the Steam Community. Reporting a scammer through the Steam Community is the best way to prevent them from committing future scams."

Why can't you READ what I wrote without making assumptions? At no point did I say nor imply I was mad. I also didn't attack you. I was merely pointing out your PSA like all the other PSAs won't help because those that need it won't read it. And then asked a question.

Did you read any of the 1,000's of other user PSAs either before or after you got scammed? No you didn't hence why you got scammed.

So please stop being defensive and pay attention to the facts. Or don't I really couldn't care less as this will be dead and buried within a day...

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials to a scammer, you never talked with someone from Valve.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:
