I also see that when I launch non steam game Fifa 23 I have to alt-tab so I can have fifa window in focus.
So, it seems to me a focus issue that I never encountered before this big overhaul of Big Picture. Can it be a windows 10 issue? Or a combined os+steam issue? Anyone having similar issues?
Ie. Right click the Steam icon, select properties, and change the Target field to this:

If Steam launches automatically with Windows, then you would have to open Registry editor and change the value of the following key:

to this
Settings > Customization > Use as Wake Movie
I had the startup movie set to play whenever the PC woke up.
I've since woken up my PC from sleep a number of times and no longer have the focus problem.
