Downloads being strange (Hogwarts Legacy)

I encountered some trouble with the download. I pre-loaded the game yesterday (Feb 6th) and upon the game trying to update today, it encountered some problems. I uninstalled, thinking that would solve the problem. Upon attempting to reinstall, it begins by saying that I have 13.4 gigs downloaded. Allowing the game to download from this point has resulted in no progress.

Every time I hit a button in the steam interface now (during the download), the program goes to not responding for about 10-15 seconds before doing as asked. My hard drive has no game files bar the directory the initial download created. I've cleared the download cache and appcache hoping that would fix it, but it has not.

Arma 3 workshop download was also acting strangely when in the que in front of Hogwarts Legacy but magically decided to fix itself.

In short, I've no idea what is happening.

Same thing is happening here. keeps throwing me back at 69gb downloaded after ive uninstalled it and rebooted system. Pre-loaded it with HUGE ANTICIPATION and what a shame to have paid the extra money for this to happen lol

I may have found a solution, but I’ll only know if I’m able to actually get the game running. I uninstalled, deleted the directory folder the initial install created, then tried the reinstall on a different hard drive. It’s currently downloading with no issue. Will update if it works.
