Is there an (easy) way to install two copies of the same game on the same computer on Steam?
Hi, I'm modding a specific game and it would be very convenient for me if I could keep two separate installs of the same game at different locations on the same computer. Obviously I'm only gonna play one copy at a time. Is there an easy way to do this natively with steam?

If you are going to do this for multiple games, I would take it a step further and create a separate Windows login (add a user) to avoid save game, etc conflicts for games that use local user locations for saves.

steam can make a backup copy

steam -> library -> select game -> gear -> properties -> local files -> make backup
