Library is a black screen

after todays update i tried to play ffvii (the original version) and it loaded fine at first but i noticed my controller settings were wrong. i was using a community controller layout for original ps1 controller scheme but it reverted back to the default layout. i exited the game and went back to the comunity layouts to fix it, and when i selected the one i was using before, the screen went black. now my library tab is just a black screen - none of my games are showing up. all other tabs within steam seam to be working. but it seems i cant switch my controller layout or else my library goes blank.

There was influx of this problem yesterday and it fixed itself. It was due to Steam was down for Maintinence. Suggest you reboot Steam log in again and see if it fixes it.

Same thing happened to me after the update, can't access library at all. If I relaunch steam I can use it for a few minutes but then it freezes again and I can't access it anymore

i tried this and its still doing the same thing. rdr2 seems to be running funky as well.

Delete Steam's web cache, restart Steam.

Happens to be two seconds of black screen matter when switching store tab to game library. And game library to discussion tab. Profile page to store loads instantly.

Happened to me about 13 hours ago (right after Steam update was released) - had to restart Steam to access library. Now it happened again. I wasn't playing any games even, just had Steam open in the background.

Experiencing the same issue. I've tried clearing the web cache and restarting and tried fully uninstalling the Steam client. The library will appear for a split second then slide down the screen until I can't see it. I can still access it via the web page, through the mobile app, and through my Deck.

I had the same problem but then I logged out and now the log in screen is just black (mac)
