HELP : How to Stop STEAM from minimizing to TRAY and make it minimize to TASKBAR ?

i am going mad over this sh*t.
why it changed, and why i can not reverse it. i just need steam to minimize to the taskbar like every other app this is so stupid i can not understand

My Steam client is minimizing to taskbar just fine with the ( _ ) button at the top-right. Does yours just disappear for some reason when you do that?

Try pinning the Steam Client directly on the taskbar and see if it stays there.

it changed behavior by itself, i have it pinned, but when i minimize it, it goes to the tray instead of the taskbar, as if i had click x to close.

What happens if you click the taskbar icon to minimize it?

i found that if i start steam in big picture mode, and then exit, it works as intended
