it's not the resolution, you gotta find the option for windowed mode in the game...

Windowed. Border'less.
Check specific game forums for any Launch options you can add to Steam, for those games.

That is a game option not a steam option

Refer to each game on how they support things like windowed mode. Steam doesn't control this. The game does

hi everyone i managed to change a games resolution (resident evil 4), but the problem is i couldn't navigate the screen, plus the mouse would not move out of the screen either or minimize the screen

Next time, just stick to the options in the game settings screen, and don't try to hack config files yourself.

Still, in general, for a mouse-controlled game, it would be rather cumbersome to allow it to be a window on the desktop and have the mouse pointer leave it. That's probably why they somehow restrict pointer movement.

You can probably alt-tab out of it.

Most games that use the mouse will "capture" the mouse within the window when it's active.

This is not resolution related mate, if you want Window mode, change it to window mode. FYI Steam has nothing to do with in-game settings for your resolution, or window type.

If game support changing window type you select that, not game resolution, as resolution renders the game in said resolution, not change it from full screen.

- Full screen
- Borderless Window Mode
- Window mode
