Steam takes ~5-10 seconds to open the steam window
My problem after a fresh reinstall of Windows and Steam is, That steam takes a while to start..
When i click on the icon to open Steam it takes like 5-10 second. Going direcktly from "Hidden Symbols" on the lower right side to steam libery or shop opens it in an instance.

Because you're loading the entire program to begin with. Switching between windows is done faster because the program is loaded. Change what page you see first when you load Steam then exit and reload Steam and you'll see it just as slow.

its the same page...
Store is the normal start page...
When i use the Steam icon to open a steam window it takes long
When i use It with Hidden Symbols rightclick Shop, its instant
so that cant be it
also
it wasnt linke that on my old 6700k
and it would be strange if it would be like this on my new 7700x

The "hidden [Steam] symbol" appears in the notification area of the task bar only when Steam is already running. Don't believe me? Then click "Steam" at the upper left corner of the Steam window and then select exit. This is the proper way to exit out of Steam. Pressing the "X" on the right does not end the program but merely closes the window. Now try starting Steam with the "hidden symbol." You won't find it if you exited out of Steam correctly because Steam is not running!

Steam is running... its all fine...
Just to open the window takes like 10 seconds when i click on the steam generated desktop icon...

Try this:
1. Start Steam and then close the window by clicking the "X" on the top right of the Steam window.
2. Then click on the desktop icon. Does it take "5-10 seconds?"

I suspect that prior to your OS reinstall, Steam was set to load at startup (i.e. the Steam/Settings/Interface/"Run Steam when my computer starts" box was checked). There would thus be no delay when starting the application with whichever icon since Steam would already be running.

yes.
Steam is in autostart and works perfectly
it starts games as it should.. everything is fine...
i dont have any problems with that.

the only thing is..
when i whant to open the steam window (just the window to do some stuff in steam) from the desktop created icon by steam, it takes 5-10seconds to open the steam window
(again.... steam is loaded and running already via autostart)

when rightclick on the steam icon at hidden symbols to open my libary shop or community..
the window opens right away

and i dont know why it takes 5-10 second when i use the desktop icon
this behavior is abnormal..
it wasnt on my previous windows installation.. and its not like this on my laptopo....

What happens when, with the Steam window open and showing the "Library" page, you were to double click on the Steam desktop icon. How long does it take for the Steam window to restart and show the default "Store" page?
Aasimar[GER] Jan 14, 2023 @ 12:13am
same time..
open shop window
doubleclick on steam.. ~10seconds to restart to the default page

If this is true then I cannot think of reason for that behavior. I am only guessing at this point:
1. Have you fully updated the OS?
2. Make sure antivirus program is not interfering with Steam
3. Have you physically installed the Steam program (I don't mean the library) in two different places?
4. Are you running Windows 10/11 with 4 GB or less of memory and slow hard disk drive? Do you have a lot of programs running in the background? Check task manager to show if you have enough free memory.
Sorry I can't be of much more help.

7700x 32gig DDR5 RAM
Windows 10 fully updated fresh installation ~1week old
Task Manager 10 of 32 gig in use

Steam is installed on a KC3000,, so 7000/7000 MB/s
cant get much faster than that
Reinstalled steam 3 times already..
on the KC3000 (windows drive), on my 2nd KC3000 (games drive), and on an 4TB SATA HDD
its always the same.. opening steam from desktop icon or the exe from the steam folder takes ~10 seconds...
using rightclick at hidden symbol takes less then a second

no problem with Epic/Ubi/EA/GOG launcher.. or any other programm so far
iam totaly clueless what this is happening

I have the same PC specs as you, my old computer loaded steam 10x faster. The main difference with my new PC is the DDR5 RAM so am thinking it's related to that but don't know.

Other AMD user with iGPU has turn it off, so Main Nvidia card is the only one, contact AMD support is that's the case here,

GPU and its Drivers, require tech board info or Brand model nr , if you want other helper here to suggest such.
