If that doesn't work then see #1
Yeah my mistake for not trying the game early, but seriously I was sold a game which doesn't even open, is the business standard seriously acting like "well you should've found out earlier it's unplayable" ?
"Lucky you or poor you" sounds more like gambling, I thought I was making a purchase, and not a back street key website purchase either lol, I won't pursue it till the end of time since it's not really that much lmao but still, it's very bs since I didn't swindle any Store Points (Have the required amount to be removed) and I don't even want the money back AND I obviously haven't been playing non stop, there's legit no scheme, but it is quite scammy to sell me something which doesn't work, be it my own set-up or not hence why fit for purpose is a thing, and then tell me I didn't report it in time... am just saying

"game"
i have a question about this purchase
tell them what the problem is. be nice and patient. you may not get a refund, but it will be looked at by a person
...for you for some reason. But it *is* playable.
Well, you are given 2 weeks from the moment you've purchased it to make sure it works. It is not Steam's responsibility to remind you of this before your time is up.
And yet, I've played the game. As a matter of fact I just ran the game for a few minutes while in the middle of typing this just to make sure it still works. Maybe it requires a little work from the user to workaround issues but it can and does run. It's been a while since I've played it and it could very well have been something that I had to do, but I've forgotten what that might be if there was something.
You can keep saying it all you want. Steam grants 2 weeks of ownership and under 2 hours played, no questions asked refund. Once passed that, you're on your own.
Go back to your purchase and instead of choosing refund, choose "I have a question about my purchase". Explain nicely and calmly in the following screen describe why you are asking for an exception to the refund rules knowing full well that Steam is well within their right to deny you. Let them know you're fine with the funds going straight to your wallet because you're most likely just going to use them on Steam again anyway. Send it off, cross your fingers, and possibly you'll luck out and get the refund that you want. Realize that if they still say "no", that's it.
If you played it on Windows 10, have you encountered any issues at launch after the pre-app menu screen? If yes, how did you fix it? I'm not necessarily chasing a refund, I just got a game which doesn't work (for me, there) and I paid for lmao.
The game does work on Win 10. 2 friends of mine posted screenshots of the game in the activity feed in the past 2 weeks and both just ran the game out of the box on Win 10.
Have you tried this? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2661722549
Thanks for actually helping me out, it works now! Haven't seen that fix thread before, now I can finally play the game since that was my intent to begin with lol.
Which YOU then commenced to not play for months. It isn't Valves job to babysit users.
Look, if y'all really want to discuss trading standards, a product unused, unaltered and unopened which does not work will not hold well to not be reimbursed in business standards despite 14 days, why ?
https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_en.htm
> More Info About > Guarantees for faulty goods (yes, they specifically mention digital assets).
And if you want to hit me with the trader argument > Second-Hand goods.
FYI I can prove as much as I want something works as long as I can't prove it works for the consumer that is making the complaint, that's how business standard goes.
I was seriously just asking for help but you're really acting like I'm demanding a refund and not being understandable, the reason why I'm so adamant about this is because of 7 years of customer service in Complaints.
Let me say it again > I was only asking for help < not berating steam, it's like a cardinal sin to ask for help if you did a mistake here lmao, at least the game works so I didn't lose anything at all, much to the displease of other nice people.
