Blank loading page and log-in page on the steam application (Linux Mint)

Seems today my steam client is not responding properly, i had it on automatic log-in and managed to log me in the application, however nothing would load, not even my library, despite being able to run games from the shortcuts:

I tried logging out and trying to log in manually again, but apparently the log-in page itself is also now blank and it seems i can't even enter the application anymore:

I've tried a clean reinstall, either from the terminal, software manager, or the .deb download, likewise renaming the .steam folder so it would create a new one fresh. Seems nothing has worked.

Worked well yesterday and was just playing games too. Seems the issue happened today suddenly with no warning. There's no other application, 3rd party software, or anything else i have modified or installed today to justify this change. All i can think is perhaps an update that broke it for me.

Internet works fine, browser works, and i was online on steam, not in offline mode.

Same here. Steam broke the client again so now, even though we've paid for the software, we just have to wait for them to decide to fix it.

Interesting. Mine worked fine logged in well and store opened fine for me. I am on ubuntu BTW.

i went to the steam/packages folder and deleted the "beta" file. Steam updated to the non-beta official version that gave me a normal log-in prompt and now i can use steam normally again.

I guess like i said on that thread, whenever the issue now being if the "beta" thing being a precursor for a future official update to steam that might result in the borked blank pages again. At the very least i heavily suggest having the "remember me" on when logging in, so it can log in automatically without the log-in prompt, as at least you could still access some games from the right click icon shortcut on the bar.
