Profile Awards Gone.

The other day some kinds sir awarded me bout 14,000 points worth of awards. This was a very kind act, and I dunno what I did to deserve it.
These awards are gone, and now got only the awards I had BEFORE the guy showed up and awarded the hell out of me. Can any of you help?

The only way points will vanish is if the sender refunded what ever gave them the points and it put them in a point negative. Any points spent, starting with the most recent will be removed until the original account gets back in the positive point range.

So it's not your fault.

If people refund games, they also have to give back the Steam points they initially got for the purchases. If they don't have enough points to give back, the last stuff they did gets reversed (ergo items bought in the points shop get "refunded" and awards given out get cancelled).

It's possible the person that awarded you did a refund (or perhaps even a chargeback).

welp guess im outta luck. time to hop on 2fort and go askin around for awards

Since you get 100 points for every $USD spent in the store, that was a $1,400 purchase that got refunded. So possibly a chargeback cause someone spent money they shouldn't have or had buyers remorse.

Begging for awards is a waste of time dude. Just post content that will EARN the awards, you will get more awards that way.

Post cool or funny screenshots from a game in the games hub or post a helpful guide. Post helpful or funny comments in the appropriate forum.

There are several ways to earn them.
Begging just makes you look foolish and could lead to a forum ban as begging is against the forum rules.

You may not get points right away, so don't post everything all in one go.

1 Dollar = 100 points, 14k points = 140 dollar. Not 1400.
