Big Picture mode: Desperate for old UI, is it possible?
Is there any way to revert back from the imho terrible steamdeck Big Picture UI, back to the original/OLD layout? I tried using the -bigpicture flag but it is not working :(

The new one is still in beta,by default, the old one is showing. Long-term it'll get changed anyway.

It will get permanently changed someday though.So your best option is to provide constructive feedback of what's so bad about the new UX, wishing for the old one to stay indifinitely won't work.

I am/was running the beta channel for years and was unaware that nowadays this would also force you to use the new UI. I moved out of the beta program and everything is well again. Thanks @ReBoot!

Driving a beta is like driving without seatbelts: you may do it, but you'd better be conscious about what you're doing.

Bear in mind that the new BPM UI that you don't like is due to replace the one in the main release of the client. So all will not be well for you forever in that regard.
