Fix the error!

I live in Kyiv, Ukraine. When I wanted to put the location in my profile, I noticed that you made a mistake.
Ukraine insists that the spelling "Kiev" is a transliteration of the Russian name "Киев", and the transliteration "Kyiv" is more correct, because it is a transliteration of the Ukrainian spelling - "Київ".
Please, on behalf of all Ukrainians, correct this fundamental mistake and change "Kiev" to "Kyiv".

There are far more problems with the country list than how Kyiv is spelled. It's spelled Kiev because really up until the invasion it's always been spelled that way for English. It's only been recently that we've started seeing "Kyiv" used. Given that and the fact that the current list of countries is several years old, I wouldn't put too much hope in seeing it corrected any time soon.

The transliteration "Kyiv" was approved by the Ukrainian government back in 1995, since then the government has been trying, in one way or another, to spread the use of the name "Kyiv" abroad. Unfortunately, we're only now starting to pay attention to this bug, so it's never too late to fix it.

Getting Valve to do so will take more than an Russian invasion. They'll get around to it when they get around to it. The way Kyiv is spelled is only one of many problems with the country list.

In the profile, "Kyiv" is written with two "y", but it's better than "Kiev", if you are writing about this mistake. And the photo is not me, it's a professional CS:GO player NiKo.

Spelling it the old/wrong way was commonplace in the west and it will take time to adjust.
