Cannot Create New Account Captcha Failure

I cannot create a new steam account for my son due to CAPTCHA failure "Your response to the CAPTCHA appears to be invalid". Any additional suggestions? Below are my troubleshooting efforts.

+ Windows 11 and 10.
+ Laptop, Workstation, Mobile using Chrome, Edge, Safari with Incognito/Private.
+ Cable Internet and LTE.
+ At home and at work.
+ Cleared cookies, reset browser defaults, flushed DNS and winsock reset.

Edit: I finally succeeded in creating an account for my son, but it was an absolute fluke. While creating his account, I simply opened the developer tools (F12) in Chrome.

I have the same problem - I cannot create a Steam account for my daughter (after she was unable to create a Steam account for herself) We tried the Captch dozens of times, and it keeps failing. We're not getting it wrong - it just doesn't work!

having the same issue. i can't believe people just can't use any functions at all and valve doesn't do anything about it, i've been reading reports about this that go months back.

This is costing them customers: People trying to join Steam and buy games but cannot.

Steam support really need to sort this out - it's costing them money.

If you get a CAPTCHA error post the Reference ID of the error

Same... tried all sorts of different computers, browsers, internet connections, and troubleshooting tips to no avail.

Same issue. Tried Steam application, 2 different browsedr on my PC and even my mobile phone (not using wi-fi). Same result, same error (ID 3712686547106069561). Not cool, Valve, not cool

I wasn't using a browser to do this. We tried to create a new account through the Steam client, and repeatedly failed the Captcha. There has to be a better way to do this...something that's bug free. My daughter gave up - simply lost interest after losing her patience from 20 minutes of failures. No Steam account for her.

I recently had the same problem and it might have been a DNS setting in my router.
I can't be sure.

I got everything sorted out on my phone and disconnecting from my hope wifi.
