Is Checkout shoppers live Adyen a scam
I was trying to purchase a game and put in my card information and it went to the screen that normally says that a verification email has been sent but it then opened a new tab to random website called checkout shoppers live Ayden and said my card has been blocked. it then told me to call a certain number to fix this. I am worried this might be a scam pleae help

What does that have to do with Steam?

Adyen is a legit payment services provider. Quite a big name even.
That said; the fact that they're a well recognized brand also means there is potential for malicious parties impersonating them and attempting a phish.

It would be very strange for Valve to fall for that though; because it'd have to be Valve that implements a connection to a fraudulent impersonator. Of course, it's also possible that whatever device you're trying to perform payment on was infected with malware and it's doing a switcheroo on you locally.

Can't say for sure whether this is legit or not.
You could always attempt a reverse lookup of the phone number they're asking you to call, I suppose.

Presumably Adyen is the PSP that Valve contracted to service the region where OP is domiciled.

If you have to authencticate/verify your purchase upon checkout, Valve will automatically link to to the required party. This is perfectly safe but it's something they've only been doing within the last 18 or so months I estimate.

They've been doing it a lot longer for other payment methods.
The Dutch exclusive iDeal payment system has been forwarded to external payment providers for ... basically forever. Since day one it was introduced to Steam. Over the last decade-and-then-some Valve has also switched payment providers a few times.
Iirc they currently use GlobalCollect's EU branch to service the EU regions?
