I had about 8 games in my cart and added 1 more and it put a exclamation mark on it. what does it mean?

Potentially suspicious adding so many games at once. They're just letting you know is a bit odd and it shouldn't stop you from buying whatever you want.

Ah ok but do you know why it would just get rid of the games I had In there?
Nope, that sounds like a bug. I guess until they fix it make purchases in groups of 8 or fewer at a time.

I’m guessing the exclamation mark might be an warning saying you could be buying two copies of the same game? Like if you were to buy a trilogy of any series (games 1, 2 and 3), as well as a stand-alone copy of game 1, maybe this alert could come up to warn you that you are buying two copies of the same game by accident?

Another possibility is that Steam is warning you that one of the games you are attempting to buy no longer has a discount that was applied when you first clicked on the add to cart button. Suppose you see a game with a 75% discount, then add it to cart, but come back tomorrow to pay for it, but the 75% discount has expired, so now have to pay full price.

Of course these are just things I am assuming, I wouldn’t be able to confirm for sure.
