Trying to stream games to my laptop keeps throwing error

Hey all,

Whenever I try to stream a game from my gaming desktop to my laptop, I keep getting this error:

Something went wrong while displaying this content.
Error Reference: Library_7728431_88af7cf66459d659
Cannot read property 'TakeFocus' of undefined

It only gives me one option, a 'Refresh' button. When I click it, the error message briefly disappears, only to reappear almost immediately. The only way to get rid of the error message is to force quit Steam and restart it.

Does anyone have any ideas about what's happening here and how to fix the issue?

No, it's not rare.
This is a critical bug in all pc steam client and does not allow Remote Play to work properly.
Valve has let this bug unattended for few months.
Also, error prompt blocks the front ui (like a modal window) and does not perform processing such as reloading/re-rendering the library screen when it leaves.
Once an Error or crash occurs on this screen, there is no way to clear it other than restarting the Steam client.

By the way, if you start Remote Play from Big picture mode, it works fine.
