Was it a newly bought game?
If so, look evereywhere, the inside of the box, inside and outside of the cd case, manual, etc. If there isn't a code, contact the seller or have you cousin do that.

Was it a used game?
The cd key has been activated on the original account and the cd doesn't give you the game.
yeah it was used. So does that mean I can't play it anymore?
The original owner still has the game on their account and can play it. Once a game has been bound to an account, it stays there. The game can't be redeemed twice, so no, you can't play the game using that cd.

All games that require a DRM like Steam, Origin and uPlay have product codes that are activated on accounts. These can only be used once. The discs are merely used for doing partial installations of games which are already activated so when the code is used, the disc is nothing more than a tea coaster to anyone else the owner.
