EDITED AND SOLVED: Steam Is Dumb... Literally (To do with perfect games and PLEASE read before assuming anything)

Sooo... I care about my perfect games and I perfected 38 so far. However, Steam does not recognise one game in particular. Now, I know what many may say, that it may be a game that Steam is learning about, or that it maybe got new achievements to get... Or some other thing. But hear me out!

Now look at my perfect games list, I cropped it so you can see it from Stardew Valley to Webbed. The game which is missing is The Messenger which should be located there (and for your information it is not located anywhere else on this list, hence why Steam gave me a grand total of 37 perfect games...) but it is not.

As you can see, I have all 48 achievements for this game. This game has been out for quite some time now, Steam is not learning about it or anything. They know it has achievements and some days ago... I had 38 perfect games. I have looked through a few discussions on these forums but no one seemed to have this type of an issue. It was usually to do with either miscounting from trying to do it manually, newly added achievements or Steam learning about a game.

WHAT THE HECK STEAM. I KNOW I HAVE 38 PERFECT GAMES. I made a tab in my library and add the perfected games in there, so when I took a look at Steam's perfected games tab on my profile, every game is listed there, EXCEPT THE MESSENGER.

I uninstalled the game, reinstalled the game, verified the integrity of the game and checked all its files. I have restarted Steam as well as my laptop but nothing seems to have worked.

If ANYONE has any insight to this dumb and not particularly important problem, please let me know. It may be a small error from Steam which is actually shocking and I know I can't contact them about these types of things but... I just want them to at least be accurate.

For some peace of mind, a friend of mine also has this game, they perfected it and it shows up in their list of perfect games that Steam provided on their profile. So why was it removed from mine??

If you got something against me Steam tell me upfront! I want accurate statistics!!

EDITED SECTION:

Guys... I followed what one of you said on here, I played a random game and got an achievement, one from The Escapists 2... Then it popped! Steam finally shows that I have 38 perfect games and added The Messenger in the list. I'm so happy!

To the person who perfected Skyrim and was having the same problem as me... Please try getting an achievement in a random game. It may work!

I guess Steam is overworked, not dumb, I am sorry Steam...

Yeah same issue here, when from 18 perfect games to 16 and the missing two don't appear anymore and their achievements don't show either in the achievements showcases.

Probably a small f*ck-up somewhere but I hope it gets fixed soon because it hurts my soul to not see Skyrim in my perfect showcase anymore :(

Steam does NOT show that you perfected SKYRIM!? WHY!?

What kind of sorcery is this!? They should have a team of people who we can communicate with and who can get these types of stupid bugs fixed because... Whilst it is really not that important... Some people do care about these kinds of things...

Man, I am so sorry that you perfected Skyrim and Steam can't even recognise it... I felt so bad that The Messenger was removed randomly but I would feel awful if Skyrim was gone... I'm trying to perfect that game myself...

Try obtaining an achievement in another game to see if causes Steam to recalculate the totals. Sometimes the data that feeds the showcases can be off sometimes and just needs something to trigger them to recalculate. Not going to say that is the actual solution, just something we've seen in the past.

Even if it doesn't, Steam still has the game's achievements on record. It's just a profile data issue than it is an achievement record issue.

The counts of your games, achievements, screenshots, etc. are static values that are stored and retrieved for display. They're not calculated every time your profile page, or related pages, is displayed. That kind of realtime data would cause Steam's servers to burn to the ground given the sheer number of users Steam has.

If obtaining an achievement doesn't trigger a recalc of those values, don't let it cause you too much grief. Sooner or later they'll update to the correct totals.

I'll try... It's just a little frustrating. Especially because I care about these types of things...

Oh well. Time to try and get an achievement or wait it out until they update or something...

They totally should!! I'm always squinting at the screen which makes me feel like an old granny. XD

Sometimes it just takes some time. For me currently 3 of my games on my completionist showcases completely disappeared (Half-Life 2: Episode 1 & 2, Game Dev Tycoon) after being up there for quite a while. It's just likely that Steam is having some issues since they get a ton of traffic during the winter sale every year, in a couple days minimum Skyrim will be there for you.
