DualSense touchpad not working

Title's not quite accurate, as I know it's not a hardware issue. More specifically, Steam isn't picking up on inputs from the DualSense. I'm trying to play Resident Evil 4 with gyro, can't access my inventory because it's bound to the touchpad. Tested Yakuza 0 to verify it wasn't an RE4 issue, and I couldn't pull up the map. Tested another controller, nothing. Verified it wasn't my computer by testing it with an emulator, and the touchpad worked. I tried to work around the issue on Steam by remapping touchpad commands to the share button, but it just kept screenshotting.

I'm losing my mind here. Any ideas?

Looking like a Steam Input bug with trackpad click, its OK for me in the beta client though.

Before I thought to try the beta I had tested and written the below as a workaround, including it so if the issues recurs there's some other stuff you could try:
Touch works as normal so you could map to that, or could set Left/Right Trackpad Behaviour to Directional Swipe and then map the command to a direction and so avoid accidental touches triggering the command.

Not sure why you were getting that behaviour with the Share button.

Thanks. I dunno why the share button was doing that either, since it seems to be working now. I'll check out the beta.

Switch inputs to gameplay with joystick controls the share buttons will be like your map button in yakuza 0

I FOUND A FIX FOR ME
Hello party ppl. Apologies if this isn't perfectly relevant.
I had this issue playing Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition on PC with a DaulSense. Trackpad click would work, but not directional swipe. Everything else was fine.
I was running the Horizon as Admin. That's what made it stop working. Perhaps this speaks to a larger issue, I don't know - but my solution was to NOT run the game as Admin. Went back to working immediately.
