How do I remove mobile authenticator from a long-gone device?
I haven't been able to sell items or confirm trades for a very long time now due to steam mobile authenticator not accepting my current phone. I needed to remove steam mobile authenticator from the previous device, but the problem is, I can't re-download the steam mobile app on the previous device due to apps no longer being compatible with old IOS versions. Once you delete an app that outdates the version, you can't reinstall the app. I also don't know if the old device even turns on.

So, basically, to summarize:
- I can't use steam mobile authenticator because I have no means of removing it from the old device, and also no means of reinstalling it on the old device.

- I'm also currently unable to sign into steam mobile on my new phone due to it requiring, of course, mobile authentication... from the old device.

Is there truly no solution or is there a way? And, since I don't sell things anymore, does it even matter? Would I still be able to sign into my steam account when I switch to a new PC?

(Intense feelings of dread)

Help would be... deeply appreciated.

Install the app on the new phone, log in, transfer authenticator.

No need to have the old phone if you have written down the recovery code (as you were told to do) or got a lost of backup Steam guard codes.

Go to your account details page and see what you have to click to disable the mobile authenticator.

I had a similar situation, I contacted Steam support and explained the issue, and they helped me solve the problem after asking me a few question to make sure that I am the owner of the account.
Go here and they will help you:
