Problem buying Modern Warfare 2 2009 ROW

Hi, I have a german account but currently I am at my parents place in Denmark. I've noticed that the german version of MW2 is cut / censored. Why would I spend money on something that is not complete? So I want to update my region to Denmark in order to get the ROW (Rest of world) version. The problem is that even If I enter a new credit card that is registered in Denmark, I cannot save the changes because when I try to choose Denmark as the country for my billing adress a pop up comes up which asks me if I have a billing adress in that country 🤦🏻‍♂️ Anyone got an idea how I can make this purchase? Everything would be fine If I just could save the billing information but this pop up prevents me from doing it! Its so frustrating pls help

Edit: I am NOT trying to get a discount on games by using this VPN method some are trying to use. I legitimately am in Denmark and just want the full uncut game version I want to pay the full price for!

You must be a citizen with permanent or long-term (> 3 months) residency of the country for which you wish to purchase a game.

@Ettanin I am in the process of moving to Denmark again because my parents are going to employ me in their company. But If I understand correctly I will have to live here for 3 months already and THEN be able to change my region? I want Steam to take my money NOW though because I really want to play this game again

Do you plan to live there for more than 3 months AND have a address of permanent residency in this country? If so, then yes, you are eligible to change region and enter the billing address that matches your danish residency.

Also make sure to use a payment method with origin of the region you wish to change to, in that case, the credit card, paypal or whichever you wish to use MUST be from denmark.

Yes I am planning to live and work with my parents in this country again for about two years or more. They obviously live here already. Regardless: As I mentioned here before Steam will not let me change the billing adress because when I select Denmark as the country in the drop down menu a pop up opens which doesn't let me save the changes made behind it

You have to use money from the country first , that is registered in the country and has a registered address in the country and uses the countries currency
That will then allow you to change country in steam
Just saying you are in a country doesnt count
Try adding some money with it all set up above and see what it does and as already mentioned theres a waiting time

@Carlos100 I understand this but I just want to make sure I am getting the ROW uncut version of the game which is not 100% clear to me as of now. I actually want to purchase the bundle with the DLCs for like 24€ or so. If all fails I am probably just going to buy the version currently available to me and just patch it uncut. Even though I only want the version thats uncut from the get go

Yeah im not too sure how the cut version works to be honest if you move country from a restricted country.
Whether it makes you buy the whole game again or not as a different version so you have 2 versions

Play locks aren't the same as content restricted games.

When you go to Denmark, have a physical billing address in Denmark, you can change your region properly and purchase the ROW version.

@cSg|mc-Hotsauce but I will be able to play the game when I am in Germany again right? I am on a laptop so that is definitely possible when I'm visiting friends in Germany for example. I want to play I W 4 X online but having the uncut "No Russian" mission would be neat too. Getting the uncut patch for the german version of the game turned out harder to get than expected by the way ^^

I tried to buy the game twice now with my mothers Visa card and her permission. It is from a german bank but registered to our danish adress so it shouldn't be a problem since its the billing adress that matters right? However when I click the final button to make the transaction it looks like its working and says my mom should confirm the payment in her banking app which she does but in the end the transaction still does not go through / show up in her account. I don't get what we're doing wrong

Bruh making up stories? For real? I Just wanted to tell you guys that I finally gave in and just bought the damn cut german version but now you have the audacity to call me a liar? Not everyone is a 13 year old kid trying to buy some game using their parents credit card. I'm a 28 year old guy making my own money! I just don't happen to have a danish credit card yet. Big L for you my guy. Anyways thanks everyone else for your help.

When you add a new payment theres usually a waiting period did you get that and see how long you have to wait?
