Stuck on patching
I’m stuck on patching for every game that’s been trying to update. I’ve restarted steam, restarted my computer, uninstalled steam, updated drivers, and I still don’t know what to do

I know some will say that the developers make it so it takes time but half a day to patch a game and it’s still going isnt what the developers had in mind.

The games that don’t take too much space I’ll uninstall and download again. But I can’t do that for the bigger games.

Clear DL cache maybe, or do you have Security issue with antivirus app. ( assume plenty of free work space, )

any modded game can also screw up game devs update if they did a conversion of Original game files, some mod do such or can still do.

Let the patching finish. The time remaining will fluctuate depending on how quickly the patching process is taking at any given moment. So while it may say "12 hours" at some point, it's only doing so because mathematically it works out that way. But certain patching is slower than others so it should theoretically speed back up when it gets to an "easier" spot.

Also, if your close to reaching max capacity on the drive where your library is stored, that will impact the speed in which a patch job can finish. As it's moving and copying data around to perform the patch, a limited amount of space means there's a limited amount of patching getting done at any one time.

just finished ...no problem
About 50 mins total
So
1. Do you have plenty of space
2.Has your pc always had problems or is this new

Yeah I have 1.7Tb of space left, it’s new. Not sure all the games that are getting new updates are doing this. And to solve that issue I have to install them again. But I want to know of a way to not do that because I have 190 games installed and 20 need updates

Try repair all them steam multi librarys then, either you have corrupted games or library,
and if you have write behind cache enable then it might have cause issue with save data, and why data is corrupted, and you dont want me to suggest data scamble that cable or disk or bus controller have issue, thats is a dark path you hope its not that, require hands on and write test, and NO OC pc.
