I Just Gifted a Game, and Sent it Off But Something Has Gone Wrong.

I live in Canada, My friend Lives in Poland.

I decided to send a gift which he has in his wishlist. I went through everything as you should when purchasing a gift, and when I finished steam never took the money from my account he didn't get the gift.

Also steam never removed it from my purchase items cart either.

I'm not going to buy it again because I don't want to have to fight valve about being doubled billed for something.

Anyone else having this issue?

The purchase never went through.
Check GAMES at the very top of Steam client, Manage Gifts and Guests passes.
if your gift is still sitting there click on it and cancel it.
Sounds like Poland maybe one of the restricted cities. Which game was it.
The Store page should inform if you cant gift it

It was Police Simulator: Patrol Officers.

I did remove it from my cart. he really wanted to try this game, and thought it would make a great gift.

Could have been just a temporary hiccup. I had a purchase take a few moments longer than usual tonight almost like it was going to fail but ultimately went through. I would say just try again.

Update...

Well it worked. I was able to buy it for my friend. Must have been glitch.

I had this problem before and it was because they would not let you gift a game if there is a price difference between the 2 countries. Presumably to stop people just buying the game from the cheapest country.

That is completely different than what OP was experiencing.
