Answer 2: After reading their store pages you can form an opinion.
So instead of buying each DLC individually you can buy the season pass with a discount and get them all.
If that is of worth to you depends entirely on the game and if you are interested in the additional DLC content. And if you just want a certain DLC or are sure you want them all. In the latter case a season pass is a good way to save some money.
IMO, you should never buy a season pass at launch. Season passes are in many ways worse than pre-ordering the game because even though season passes are like pre-orders, they are not sold like pre-orders. With pre-orders you can get a full refund at any time prior to release, but with a season pass, you are not entitled to such a refund. DLC quality usually depends on game sales and if the game sells below expectations you will get low quality DLC in the season pass because development costs have been cut.
Once all the DLC in the season pass have been released, it's up to you to decide whether the season pass is worth buying, but you should always check what the season pass actually contains, as season pass does not guarantee that it includes all the DLC released for the game.
