Exactly.
I have the same problem with a similar story. Except it was my brother who linked his steam account to my ea account. I have done all that you said ages ago but somehow it is still linked. Anymore ideas??
The games are linked to that particular EA account, so unless you recover that one, the games remain unplayable.
Solution for us? Create new account and play on origin. If these two idiot companies (steam and EA) can't communicate between, we have no option but to play games separately to make sure, you dont get stuck with 'locked' games on steam, which you cant play due to the link connection.
At the beginning i was asking to release the ban in general. 2 years later just to unlink the account. Simple as that.
I'm Having The Same Problem!!
Are There Any Solutions??
You can't prove ownership and don't have access to the EA account but want to disconnect it?
Are you for real?
If that would be possible, that would be a nightmare for normal people who care enough about their money so they remember login details for accounts where they have games which did cost money.
I Only Had One Free EA Game On My Account
(The ban was unjust because someone had hacked my old Apex account and got the newest character illegally. When I appealed, they said it should remain and I never got my ban taken away)
