Can't clear web browser history

So it used to be the case that there were two separate options when accessing the web browser settings: one option to clear the browsing history, and one options to clear the cookies and cache.
At some points, both of these options were merged into one setting which, according to its description, clears the web browser cookies, cache and history. However, while this setting does indeed get rid of cookies and cache, it doesn't actually clear the browsing history. I found this out by googling certain terms and seeing that the links appeared in purple instead of blue, meaning that they were already accessed in the browser.

So I was wondering: Is this an oversight from Valve and is there any other way to clear your web browser history?

The options used to be, delete web browser cache and delete all browser cookies.

There was no option to clear browser history.

Oh dang, I guess my memory tricked me in this case. So there never really was an option to delete your web browser history? Is there any easy manual way of doing so?

AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache\Cache

It won't hurt anything to delete all of the files in that Cache folder but it's reported that the data_0 through data_4 files are browsing history for the steam browser.
