Background music cuts in and out for some games.
Hey! I've been having this problem for awhile now, and I don't know what to do.

Basically, for some games (it's happened on Elden Ring and Monster Hunter: Rise) the background music will cut out for a short time, but the ambiance (such as walking, running water, birds, etc.) will continue to play. Then, the music will cut back on for a short time, repeat.

I originally thought it was my headphones, but I recently got new ones and the problem persists. It also occasionally happens when I have the sound playing through my speakers.

I've tried numerous troubleshooting methods, such as updating all drivers, getting new headphones, restarting my computer, trying to repair game files, etc. So I truly have no idea what to do. Anything will help, it makes games that this problem happens to significantly less enjoyable, as the music is often one of my favorite parts about the games.

Another note, along with this problem, voice-lines will also cut out, along with the background music, and that seems to physically affect the game itself. e.x. In Elden Ring, when a character is talking, instead of auto-advancing the subtitles, it will keep the subtitles from when the voice-line cut out.

Thank you!

Hey, you wouldn't happen to have come across a fix for this, would you? It just started for me, and I think I'm legit out of things to try.

I don't quite remember the specific fix, but I know I did get it. I would say try updating your game drivers, that mightve been what fixed it for me. Though, I mightve ended up full on resetting my PC. Sorry I don't remember the specific fix, but good luck!
