"This library is not currently available for family sharing"
I have a problem. My cousin gave me the opportunity to use his games. For six months I used his library without any problems, he played his library, but in other games. 2 weeks ago, it began to issue this error. I looked through all the FAQ on the topic in steam, but nothing helped. Support said "multiple users cannot play a game (not games) in a shared library", which for me means it is possible to use different games from his library at the same time. Maybe steam has changed the family access policy, but I can't find any news about it. Who has faced this problem, are there any solutions? Thank you in advance

You can not use his games if he or anyone else is using his library.

Did he revoke your access or change/reset his password?

In any case, he needs to set it up all over again on your PC.

Why not? It's about 6 month i played his library at the same time with him. Is this somehow explicable?

There are no third parties using this library
He did not change the password, I have access, even now it flashes once every 10 minutes that I can use the games and disappears after a second (I wrote to him maybe he has re-entered the game, but he said that he has been playing for quite a long time now)
We tried restarting access, the result is the same

He might have been online, but not playing anything. Or, you knew he was playing something but he WASN'T online. Accessing games belonging to the same library while both users are online was NEVER possible.

we couldn't play separately from each other for six months, considering that my cousin played dota almost 24/7

It's 2023 and I am having this problem too all of a sudden. I'm not sure why it is an issue now.

Cyberpunk doesn't even need Steam to play.

I too dont get it - 2 accounts - both controlled by me - If my son sons plays ANY games or is even logged in, I can not play the borrowed Stellaris on the second account. Means we basically cant both play at same time. And I don't think there a way to move games from one account to second. I too think this is new behavior because I could play simultaneous when I bought stellaris years ago.

Switch to the new Steam Family system that is currently in BETA.
Its under Interface in your client settings.
In the new Steam Family system you can create a Steam Family with up to 6 members and everyone shares their games with each other.
There is also no longer any restriction of playing games from the same library at the same time, you can even play shared games offline.
Also no longer any " log into each others computer and authorize Famiy Share".
You just send out an invite to the family and if they accept they are in.

Give the Steam Family FAQ a read about the changes and then maybe set one up for you and your son.

This new system will replace the old Family Share soon when it leaves BETA.
