DLCs and Family sharing

will DLCs I buy for the game work if I don't own the game but can play it via Family sharing?

You can not buy DLC for games you dont own, you get a error message on the checkout page.

Yes, playing a game via Family Share does not count as owning the game.
You just "borrow" the license for the time you are playing.

If original ower of the game purchase DLC, you can usse DLC in most of the case.

But a few DLCs are not shareable.

If you're borrowing a game, you can't get DLC's for it. However if the person you're borrowing from buys the DLC's you can borrow both the game and the DLC's and use them both.
