EA and Steam Fifa 23 not linked

I'm trying to predict the world cup on EA's website. I have signed in using this steam account already but the website keeps telling me to "Buy Now". I've contacted EA support and they can't do anything about it. Someone please help.

When you buy a game on Steam for EA, Uplay, or ETC, that has 2nd DRM launcher client, you be asked to link game to your said respective client account. So how this works, when link game to your Steam account, and EA / origin account, you must use the same exact accounts for both, because trying to use another account won't work because that not how things are done, they're tied to only said accounts they're linked to nothing else.

Let say you Steam account Bob and EA account Bob123, and linked game on these account. Also this apply to trying to claim things, or sign up for event if it requires you to own the game in the 1st place.

Example 1
Steam account: Bob
EA / Origin account: Bob123

When launch game, there no issue because they're the same account you linked to that why it works.

Example 2
Steam account: Jim
EA / Origin account: Bob123

When launch game, it won't work because it needs your Steam account Bob, because game linked on Bob account, not Jim account.

Example 3
Steam account: Bob
EA / Origin account: Jim123

When launch game, it won't work because it needs your EA / Origin account Bob123, because game linked on Bob123 account, not Jim123 account.



As can see only Example 1 works because that how things are setup. So if you're making alt accounts, and forgot which account you had game link on, you need to figure that out, no one can help you.

Now for Website if this is a EA server issue, only EA support can help, or wait it out until it fixed, as Steam can't help in this area.

bro the game is just not there when I log in with my steam to ea with the same steam acc that I use to start the game on steam

if you have more than one account on said service, you have to pay attention which account you're using, and you're playing it right now.
