Connection Error: Could not connect to the Steam network
I've been getting this error for a couple of days now, and can choose between "Retry connection", "Start in offline mode" or "Quit".

My internet works (writing this from the computer) and everything else, but Steam refuses to launch in online mode.

Why could that be? And how could I fix it?

Same thing - and I see Steam.exe calling out to Valve IPs by sending SYN packets that are never ACK'd...

Only after reinstalling Steam...
