Trading cards with family sharing - when both people own the game?
Both me and my wife own Postal 2, and we both activated family sharing with the others' account. She rarely uses Steam though, so I've stalled the game on my laptop for a bit to get drops. Haven't gotten a single one yet, and over 2 hours of gameplay. Does family sharing block trading cards, even when both parties own the game? Or would I have to use a different computer?

PS. Postal 2 is a paid game, not an F2P. Her profile even says she has all four card drops remaining.

No.
If you bought the game on your own account you will get drops from the game. BUT.. only drops for *one* person.

Errr.. That is... Postal 2 badge has 8 cards... you get half the number of cards for free drops. So. you get 4 cards (they may be duplicates).

If you have already got 4 card drops from Postal 2, you will not get "4 more cards" on your account trying to "run your wife's Postal 2". Although logged into HER account she will get 4 card drops for her version of Postal 2.

Now that Steam has a Refund Policy, however... you mostly do not get trading cards til playing more than 2 hours. i see you have 77 hours in Postal 2.. but.. assuming trading cards were just added to the game you will likely need to let it run again more hours for the cards. Devs/Pubs of games set the card drop rate. Default seems to be 1 card even 20 minutes.. but it seems like they can set the drop rate to be only 1 card per hour.. (or possibly put an even longer length in). So... you may have to be patient.

Remember. You must be logged into your *wife's* account to get her 4 remaining card drops. You cannot try to run "her game" through Family Share while logged into *your* account and get card drops. And since you don't say your wife's account name it's hard to peek to see if she's personally run the game long enough to start getting card drops.

Lol, yeah, I probably should've specified, her account was signed in while it was stalling. But awesome, thank you very much for the help! :steamhappy:
Her game time exceeded 2 hours, but probably not by much, since the display time doesn't have a decimal point after the number q:
