How do I remove the market listing holds?
I don't have a smartphone and have no plans to get one. Does this mean I can't sell anything in the market anymore without it being held for 15 days? After 15 days, the price has fluctuated for almost anything so wildly that my listing can't possibly be any sort of appealing to buyers anymore at that point. :(

Pretty much. My family and our accounts have the same restrictions and it sucked every single bit of fun out of collect/trading/buying/selling cards for any purpose.

Exactly; I love badge collecting at a VERY leisurely pace but now it seems pointless. I'm not even a trader/seller where I'm making big money off selling and trading games. :< Guess I'll just turn everything into crystals from now on?

This is a massive flaw and I'm shocked users cannot modify their listings when they are on hold. Valve really need to relax trade holds on measly trading cards and have a starting price for items that need to be trade hold protected.

Right! I get all excited when I see a card pack I have going for about 60 cents but then I can't even list it. In 15 days, that price probably won't even be close to what it goes for anymore. :( It's just 60 stinking cents.

We've purchased exactly 1 card since these restrictions were implemented.

Probably would have purchased a bunch more but I can't sell anything in a timely fashion so, what's the point?

Yep! I had a duplicate card drop on The Division that was selling at £0.55 at its current rate - I then had to try and gauge what the card would cost two weeks down the line so I listed it at 25p and two days before it finally will be listed; the current price stands at 21p so I haven't got a hope in hell of selling it and if I take it off to change the price; it gets held for another two weeks where it'll probably be worth 8p! Trade holds should only be on items that cost £3/$5+ IMO and that's being extremely generous.

I've purchased cards, but any packs or dupes I keep getting I just can't sell for the reason above.
The irony of this authenticator:
The safety of your account is depending still on a single thing. But instead of a computer, this thing is a mobile phone. With a questionable update structure. And which can be stolen out of your hand.

Basically steam forced people to use a less secure thing.

There are open source programs to generate codes with the protocol steam auth uses and to accept trades. Read about that on reputated computer magazine pages.
I rather want my computer to be the point of security than a smartphone phone with who knows what a security hole currently unpatched.

besides the Auth itself, the time factor for each and every thing you need to auth....

screw that, I had been doing this to unwind. It's far to frustrating now.

Collecting badges used to be FUN, I'd buy some cards, I'd sell some cards. Easy Peasy.

The recent changes have totally killed it. So I won't be selling any more cards. The little things will build up in my account. I don't care. It's not cost effective to buy a smart phone, and my personality type won't do a 15 day trade wait for a 12 cent item.

If the summer sale is good, I may change my mind - otherwise I'm on a holding pattern.

Agreed. I want to, but it's pointless now. I hope they see that decline in marketplace usage and do something about it.
