X3 terran conflict help
I used to play a game called X3 terran conflict on windows 7 using an actual copy of the game and now when I try playing it with the same disc but on windows 10 it says
"Please insert original disc"
I wiped my computer before upgrading to windows 10 so it isn't due to any old files or anything else like that.

If you do not have the game from steam then you need to manually install the patches from the developers.

You will probably want the 1.0.1 -> 3.2 patch.

The game shipped with TAGS drm that was stripped out with one of the later patches.

Windows 10 has extra restrictions that prevent the DRM software from running correctly and that is why your legit disk is showing up as a copy.
