Buying from macstore

hi i was just wondering if a game bought from the mac store can be played on windows via steam. am thinking about switching to windows is why. would really appreciate some help thanks.

Games bought from the Apple appstore are usually special versions that only run on Mac through that appstore.
Which specific game are you talking about?

The Civ game on the Macstore is a special version for that macstore.

It's called the Campaign Edition because it's Singleplayer only. The multiplayer was removed.

You better buy it on Steam and get the full game, which runs on Mac, Windows and Linux.
