Steam Is Garbage!!!!!!
I tried to buy the 7 days to die 2-pack for my friend and me using my steam wallet. I tried about 3 times every hour during the last day of the sale. Every single time I tried there was a message telling me to try again in a minute because there could be some sort of error trying to make the transaction. After I reached out to them, they send me this email about a day and a half later.

"Hi there,

Good day.

We apologize for any inconvenience may have caused.

During the Sale, the Steam servers will sometimes be subjected to very high loads.

Please test the issue periodically. There’s a good chance that it’ll clear up on its own when our servers catch up.

If your payment is not completed successfully, Steam will save your shopping cart (including any sale prices) for 72 hours.

You should receive an email when your cart is saved after a purchase failure. Follow the instructions in this email to try your purchase again. You will have 72 hours to complete your purchase. You can try as many times as necessary. After this period, the cart will expire and any saved discounts will be lost.

If you haven't received an email, you can also find the saved cart from your Purchase History page. A shopping cart that is eligible to be repurchased will have a shopping cart icon next to it. Select the purchase and choose "I want to repurchase this saved cart".

Which is not only automated but did not help at all. I tried to reach back out to them and my 72 hour period is almost over. I still do not see the purchase in my saved cart and they will not help. So if they don't help I will never buy anything from them again.

Unless anybody from here can help me.

It is not an automated response. It's a template response. The staff read what you sent them and if they have a pre-written template response they will send that. This saves them considerable time dealing with issues as they don't need to type new responses to everyone over and over again.

The problem is that if the purchase never went through they have no way to know if you actually tried to purchase before the sale ended. For all they know you never tried during the sale and have since decided you want to buy it and are trying to get it at sale prices. Whether or not they can arrange that I have no idea.

Try to reach out again and explain in detail. Again. If you're lucky they can arrange the purchase at sale price.

Regardless of what happens try to purchase games earlier in the sales so you don't run into this issue. The first day and last day are always the worse time to purchase as the servers get busy.

I had same issue for all days of sale except for first two. And support not even bothered to response (even with auto message). But somehow managed to get almost everything I wanted.
Each time purchace fail, you can click in support site to try purchace it again. If fails again, there's only contact support button.
It took me only 5 days and god knows how many tries to buy Batman collection for my friend ^^

The email states that it is an automated email and that if I need more help to reach out to them.

How do I prove to them that I tried to buy the game.

You don't.

You wait for another sale.

Only failed purchases save the cart for 72 hours.
