cant add non steam game?

i want to add non steam games i have like prince of persia and the sands of time but they are not on the list of adable games and if i click browse and find the game if i click it it just says "catostrophic faliure"

You can still get a free copy of Prince of Persia on UPlay. See here for more information:

no i have prince of persia already but i want to add it to my steam library by using the add a non steam game button but i cant add it

use the browse button to link the games executable ( .exe). (or the short cut you normally use to start it). Also check if you are linking the correct .exe as some games start with a launcher file or script.

will i find it in desktop or c drive?

I`d go to the short cut you normally start it with and look at it`s properties, (right click>properties), - that should point at the correct file. It may even be a batch file (.bat).
