Not Reaching my full maximum download speed. 930 mbps download speed.

I cant get the steam download to go faster than 20-10 mb/s when my internet speed is 930 mbps. I have tried to change reigion to spain and us but none of those options works. It only makes my download go slower. I live in sweden and the original reigion dosnet do anything to the problem.

When I first start downloading a game the download speed is at 40-60 then after a few sec it drops to 0 mb/s and then it goes to 10-20 mb/s and maybe even under 5 mb/s. I dont know what to do. I have searched for a answer everywhere and cant seem to find any.

I'd be very thankful if anyone knows how to fix this issue.

I can't read, you did SpeedTest. Okay. So SpeedTest is measured in megabits, while Steam is measured in megabytes. There are 8 bits to 1 byte, so your potential speed should be 116 megabytes. Steam suggests your peak speed is slightly less than half that, at around 50 megabytes. I don't believe Steam throttles downloads, it may be that your hard drive needs time to write/unpack the downloaded data. Can you start a download and check your hard drive usage?

I dont think it has to do with my hard drive since when I download something from the program ''Origin'' the download speed is at 30 mb/s and up all the time. My harddrive is a ssd.

But 30 MB/s is lower than your peak speed in the screenshot, which is 49.3 MB/s. It sounds like you are getting roughly the same performance from both programs.

Yes but how does it come that my friend who has 130 mbps and downloads 10-15 mb/s all the time while I start high and end up at 4-10 mb/s when I have 800 mbps more then him. We have the same hard drive, samsung ssd 120 gb

Steam downloads are compressed, and need to be unpacked after downloading. Differences in your computers may affect how quickly this is done. It's also possible your ISP is throttling your downloads.
