Play Drm free games on flashdrive?

Might be a stupid question, and I have a strong feeling it is. But here we go anyway

I know you can install games onto an external hard drive and play them from there, but does this work with somthing like a flash drive, or would it be too slow?

So if I go ahead and put all the files from a DRM free game onto a flashdrive, would I be able to plug that flash drive into another computer and play the game?

I know this might be a year late and stuff but you can play something off of a flash drive. It was sorta slow so I would temporarily move the game files onto the computer.
