All games EXTREMELY buggy HELP
So I first thought I had this problem with CS:GO but it seems to be with all my games since even fallout 4 is having small issues. I started seeing problems yesterday when i would have these weird audio bugs in the ESL streams and in games and would last a couple seconds long but no big deal right? well later I started having the screen go black having a weird staticky type ♥♥♥♥ pop up on the screen with the same audio bugs and would last longer and the more I was online the more often it would happen. It wasn't a big deal and so i thought nothing of it. Then I get on today and heres were I start getting serious "Unplayable" issues. I log in to any online game whether it be a community server or an official server, I would get insane lag spikes where CONSTANTLY my fps would fluctuate from 150-10 it usually fluctuates between 150-120 this makes the game unplayable and extremely laggy. Also my steam overlay would crash if I loaded anything or if i scrolled using the scrollwheel. Even (but very rarely) it will cause my computer to crash and will make it unable to be turned on for like 10,15 minutes it just shows my normal loadup screen with the option to open bios etc but wouldnt actually do anything it would be frozen. I verified my game cache but that still didnt work. I deleted csgo in order to reinstall it and while Its downloading I started getting the same issues on others games (Thats now why im writing this since I now know its not just csgo) I tried turning down my settings to ALL extremely low with no AA or FXAA and It just fluctuates between 300-10 still no help. I've updated all my drivers and still nothing. Now Im having the same fps problems in other games but its weird because I dont get the problem if its an offline against bots game on cs but my normal offline games still have the lag. Ive tried shutting down my computer restarted steam everything but still nothing. I would much rather not have to clear out all my cfg files for csgo and what not since I have a bit of custom tweaks and what not in there but that still wouldnt make sense why all my games are extremely laggy. I have pretty new hardware as well so I dont think it could possibly be out of date hardware

If it helps I guess heres my setup

I5 6500
GTX 750ti FTW
8GB Ram (its not a ram usage problem Ive checked)
Windows 10 64bit

Based on the description of the screen going black and the static, along with the "popping" sound, I would be concerned there is an issue with your GPU. For starters I would shut down your computer, ground yourself, and then remove and put the GPU back in the slot. If possible, I would use a different PCI-E slot. I would also make sure all the cables are connected securely.

Out of curiosity, what is your PSU?

CX600M I know ive heard of people having issues with that in the past I guess I can try replacing that if the other recommendation dont help
600W should be enough for what you are running. While we're checking hardware, it wouldn't hurt to run MemTest86 to confirm your RAM isn't the source of the problem.

I should probably also check temps but its not the 600w that im worried about its the fact that its a CX series psu which has been known for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out or frying components :/

After a bit of research and trying dozens of things I think ive come to the conclusions its the temperatures. Im getting a minimum of 89 degrees celcius on core 1 and 97 on core 4 I've looked around and heard intel cpus are fine around 90 degrees and some people said 88 degrees is WAAY too hot but Im gonna go with its WAY too hot since nothing else seems to be the problem.

While it may not be above the absolute threshold the CPU can withstand, it is considerably hotter than I would expect the CPU to be running. Even under full load, the i5-6600K averages just 48 degrees in this benchmark, and peaks at just 73 degrees:

You may need to get a new cooler, or simply reapply thermal paste.

Yah Ill save up a little and get a new cooler I thought it was quite odd how the stock cooler would be running like that especially in something that isnt very stressful on purpose or just straight up hard to run like a stress benchmark. I got a nice large desk fan and put it next to it like you see all over the internet Ill see if that will help at all until I can afford another cooler. It might also have to do with the fact that its summer even though its only like 85 here in chicago

Well I'm glad that you have solved your problem.
