Regarding CD Keys from Steam

I'm buying a new PC soon, (replacing the one I already have) and I wanted to know that if I use the same Steam account, will I be able to re-use the CD key of the games that I have purchased on this steam account? I repeat, will the same CD key work for installing the same game on the same Steam account on a different computer?

Yes. When you use a CD Key (or some other Steam redeemable code), it automatically associates it with your account.

You don't need the CD key to activate them again. The games are tied to your Steam account, all you need is to log in.

Steam does not provide CD-keys, games are added directly to your library and can be downloaded as many times as you like from there. All CD-keys are one-time use.

But I got a CD key from steam with GTA IV, which was required to use Windows Live to 'SAVE GAME PROGRESS' and things like that, so will it ask for the CD key after I install it on the new PC from the same account?

I had required the CD Key to activate Windows Live for Saving Game Progress. Will I need the CD key again on my new PC when I install the game? If yes, Will I be able to re-use it?

Sorry, you are correct, some games do come with activation keys. Rockstar should remember that the key is tied to your Steam account, so long as you can login to the same Steam and Social Club account, you should not be prompted for the key.
