How to check steam gift history.

A while back a friend gift me borderland 2 dlc and now i actually want to repay him something, but problem is that i forgot who he is since there a lot of name change and i got ♥♥♥♥ loads of friends play the game. I tried checking the history in my inventory but it doesnt show up. it only show tf2 trade and other stuff.

The only Gift History that I know exists is within the inventory's [More > View Gift History] and that only covers the outgoing gifts.

Should you have e-mails remaining, you can check them and see who gifted the game to you.

Check your email account. Steam sends you an email notification when someone gifts you something.

i did this too look back and appreciate all ive gotten and all the messages what i did was look up steam gift on my email.

this link will show you how each license was obtained - it doesn't show who gifted a game but if it was gifted, purchased, complementary (ex. humble bundle code).
